Puppy Guarantee and Purchase Agreement
This contract is made on this ______ day of _________, 200__ to purchase a Miniature/Toy Australian Shepherd from Patty Bear (seller) and ________________________, purchaser. The puppy being purchased is:

A deposit of $200.00 is necessary to hold the puppy. The balance must be paid by time the puppy reaches 8 weeks and before he leaves the seller’s premises. If the balance is not paid on time, then the puppy can be sold to another interested party. Deposits are non-refundable, but can be used toward another puppy if something happens to the said puppy.
Seller guarantees the puppy to be healthy at the time of sale and all shots and de-worming have been done to date. There is a 72 hour (3 days) health guarantee from the time of pick up. If the puppy is found to have an untreatable disease during that time, we will replace the puppy with like color, sex, and sized puppy from the next available litter. If the puppy is found in poor health, as evidence by a licensed veterinarian, purchaser may elect to keep the puppy, assuming all the costs for it’s care. Purchaser agrees to have puppy checked by their vet within 72 hours of obtaining puppy. Failure to have this check up will void this contract. Also, there is a guarantee up to 24 months of age on the puppy for life threatening congenital defects ( includes hip dysplasia). Purchaser will have to provide a statement from a licensed Veterinarian about the problem and seller will be able to talk to vet about the problem. On the hip guarantee, the puppy would need to have OFA paperwork that rates the hips lower than “Fair”, meaning that the puppy has Hip Dysplasia. This does not include hip deformation or abnormalities caused by injury, neglect, or other environmental conditions. If there turns out to be a life-threatening defect, then seller will replace puppy with a similar puppy from the next available litter (Same color, sex, size, etc…). If purchaser decides to keep the original puppy, then no replacement will be given and this contract will become null and void. This guarantee does not cover veterinary bills or transportation costs incurred for this puppy- once puppy is purchased these fees are the responsibility of the purchasers.
Seller agrees to provide all paper work necessary for the puppy to be registered with the American Stock Dog Registry.
This puppy is being sold as a companion animal/pet quality only. Although the puppy may be capable of performing other functions, no warranty is given for it’s fitness for a particular use.
Although we do our best to estimate the height of the puppy at maturity, we can not guarantee the actual size at maturity. The Mini’s and Toys were bred down from Standard Sized Australian Shepherds and there can always be a recessive gene that come out.
